Warehouse Yard I

Full time. Starting at $21 -$22 per hr.

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Yard I to assist with day-to-day operations in our fuel company’s warehouse and yard. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for managing the organization of materials, assisting with the loading and unloading of fuel products, maintaining yard safety, and ensuring all equipment and inventory are in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the unloading, loading, and organizing of fuel products, equipment, and materials in the yard.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard area, ensuring all inventory is properly stored and labeled.
• Prepare and stage fuel products for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
• Assist with inventory control, performing routine counts and ensuring that all products are accounted for.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials and products as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA and company safety standards.
• Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment and report any issues.
• Support in preparing orders for customers.
• Assist with documentation, including shipping records, inventory logs, and fuel delivery receipts.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding yard and warehouse operations.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed to support warehouse and yard functions.

Qualifications/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, yard
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks
• Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for logging inventory and shipping information.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus but not required).

Working Conditions

• Warehouse and yard environment with regular exposure to fuel products, equipment, and machinery.
• May involve working in hot, cold, or outdoor conditions.
• Requires use of PPE and adherence to safety standards due to proximity to flammable and regulated materials.
• Occasional overtime or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs.
